Starting from Monday, February 12th to Friday, February 16th, National Grid will be installing temporary traffic lights at the Cranford Road Junctions due to the need for some emergency repairs on an HV cable.

30 Jan 2023Revised Consultation for New Secondary School on Hanwood Park
In February 2021, the Orbis Education Trust were sucessful in a free school bid to open a new secondary school for boys on the Hanwood Park Development.
Following feedback the Orbis Education Trust and North Northamptonshire Council have decided to reconsult to ensure the new free school is best placed to meet the needs of secondary-aged students residing in our new development and in the wider Kettering area.
The consultation is running from Monday 23rd January until midnight on Sunday 5th March 2023.

16 Dec 2022SANTA AND HIS REINDEER MAKE AN APPEARANCE AT HANWOOD PARK CHRISTMAS FAIR
Santa and his reindeer made an early appearance, on Friday 2nd December, at Hanwood Park’s first official Christmas Fair. Assisted by Hanwood Park Residents’ Association, Hanwood Park LLP, the master developer behind the new neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Kettering, invited residents from the surrounding area along to East Wood Avenue Park to enjoy a variety of festive activities.

As with many schools, Cranford C E Primary School is excited about once again producing live performances to parents now that the worst of the COVID Pandemic is hopefully behind us. They wanted to refurbish the video and audio equipment in their school hall to better do this and asked the Friends of Cranford School (The FoCS’) to organise some fundraising.

6 Mar 2022ROADWORKS AT THE JUNCTION OF BARTON ROAD AND CRANFORD ROAD
There will be four-way traffic lights in operation at the junctions of Swallow Close/Cranford Road and Barton Road from Monday 7th March. This is to enable collaborative works between O’Connor Utilities, working on behalf of Western Power Distribution for the extension of very high voltage cables associated with the new Primary Sub Station at Hanwood Park, and Costain, working on behalf of Cadent for the diversion of the existing gas main.

3 Feb 2022Landscaping work underway on Hanwood Park Avenue and Hayfield Crescent
Contractors working on behalf of Hanwood Park are currently undertaking landscaping work along the stretch of Hanwood Park Avenue that runs to the north of Cranford Road and into Hayfield Crescent, where Hayfield Cross School is located. Wide green verges are being created along both sides of the road to separate the carriageway from the footpaths, and street trees are also being planted at regular intervals.
