Live performances return to Cranford Primary School - supported by Hanwood Park

12 July 2022

As with many schools, Cranford C E Primary School is excited about once again producing live performances to parents now that the worst of the COVID Pandemic is hopefully behind us. They wanted to refurbish the video and audio equipment in their school hall to better do this and asked the Friends of Cranford School (The FoCS’) to organise some fundraising.

One member of the group, Lizzy Stirzaker, contacted the community team at Hanwood Park LLP and asked for their support. Lizzy was amazed when they replied, offering an amazing donation of £2000!

“Cranford is one of the parishes that neighbours Hanwood Park and we were advised that Friends of Cranford School were raising money to revamp the school hall”, explains Rachel Underwood on behalf of Hanwood Park LLP. “Having heard first-hand how new equipment will benefit the children and the wider school community, we were only too pleased to make a £2,000 contribution towards the improvement works.”

With this contribution, the school were able to get the work completed in time for this summer’s end-of-year performance. “We are incredibly grateful to Hanwood Park for this incredible donation,” the Head of School, Rob Tyman, told us. “Now we have state of the art equipment the parents and community will be in for a real treat with vivid scenes, colourful stage-worthy lighting and crystal clear sound.  Getting this done in time for this year’s performances would simply have not been possible without the hard work and fundraising of Lizzy, the FoCS and our school community.”
