Hanwood Park Hosts MP Rosie Wrighting for Channel 4’s The Political Slot

Hanwood Park recently welcomed Rosie Wrighting MP, Member of Parliament for Kettering, who was on site filming Episode 1 of the 2025 series of The Political Slot – Channel 4’s short-form programme that gives MPs the opportunity to share personal insights and explore issues close to their hearts.

Each three-minute episode presents a story that highlights a key policy and brings national priorities to life at a local level.In this episode, now available to watch online, Rosie Wrighting discusses the UK’s housing challenges and the Labour government’s ambition to build 1.5 million homes by the end of this Parliament – including affordable housing.

Speaking at Hanwood Park, she said:“We have a housing crisis in the UK – housing prices are out of reach for so many people and I know it affects my constituents here in Kettering and so many more across the country.The Labour government’s plan for change sets out a key milestone to build 1.5 million homes by the end of this Parliament, including affordable homes. It is a bold target.”

Rosie noted that newly built homes in her constituency have already enabled families to settle, raise children, and contribute to the community.
