First community engagement workshop for the new Hanwood Park Design Code
24 July 2025
Thank you to everyone who attended the first community engagement workshop, for the new Hanwood Park Design Code. The session was held at Hayfield Cross Church of England School, on Wednesday 23rd July. An introductory presentation from JTP outlined the purpose, process, and principles of the Hanwood Park Design Codes, introducing stakeholders to the vision, strategic planning, and community engagement involved in shaping the future development of Hanwood Park.
Attendees were invited to contribute their thoughts on what the Design Codes should include, the challenges they should address, and their aspirations for the design and character of the area moving forward.
This first session forms part of a series of three community engagement sessions, with the next two due to be held on the following dates, at Hayfield Cross Church of England School:
- 6.30 - 9pm on Wednesday 30th July – Master Design Code Session
- 6.30 - 9pm on Wednesday 13th August – Area Design Code Session
These will provide further opportunity for attendees to engage and provide input to the Hanwood Park Design Codes and are open for anyone to attend.
